Who We Are

Daraja Reube Mbororo Development Association (DAREM) is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 and was legally authorized in 2019 under the Cameroon law on Association with registration number: 416/G.37/C.34/VOLI/SASC. DAREM is on a mission to promote and protect the right of indigenous Mbororo people as well as other vulnerable populations for a peaceful and sustainable living.

The Mbororo are a semi-nomadic, predominantly Muslim ethnic group found in countries like Cameroon, Central African Republic, and Chad. DAREM was established by a Mbororo women Zainab Abdullahi an activists and allies who recognizes the severe challenges faced by the Mbororo community especially women and girls, including issues like early marriage,
